What we like in GW-M5610 *comments by experts with 10years experience in writing about Casio watches

Ja, the device can still be safely used. Firstly, remove the oxidizd battery. Never use bare hands to do this. Then clean the battery compartment with a cotton swab dipped in vinegar or lemon juice. Let it dry and insert new batteries. To make it simple, I consider being part of the inner dial everything that is part of the module itself (every indication of the LCD) whereas the outer dial is located between the module and the bezel. Perfect for free diving without scuba gear: the watch is water resistant up to 20 bar according to ISO 22810. Whether in Europe, North America and Japan or in the outer reaches of Canada, Central America and China - once the watch has been set to the local time, it receives the relevant signal and shows the correct time wherever you are. In many countries, it also sets itself automatically to summer and winter time. o Cheapish Band - I like the Barton silicone watch bands as the are soft and supple. The Casio band is a bit stiff. It is durable and we'll see how well it holds up. (I'll replace it with a conversion kit if I ever have band issues)The dual time display would be great, however, I have the GMT for actually travelling. Overall, I’m hoping to really enjoy it. That’s what you get when you let non-native English speakers write English articles, isn’t it 😄 I’ve changed it, thanks again. time zones (48 cities +coordinated universal time), daylight saving on/off, Home city/World time city swapping

I have to say I’m firmly in the camp that the 3495 is a huge improvement over the previous modules. I wasn’t even interested in one of the Squares until I discovered Casio had upgraded the module. The world-time mode directly shows another important improvement of the new module. During the use of a second time-zone in world-time mode, the original home time of the watch remains visible in the display as well. A very useful, almost indispensable function when traveling. In the old module, the abbreviation of the chosen city remained visible (like NYC), but where you are will be something you’ll remember yourself and hasn’t to be kept in the display in my opinion. This feature, of permanent availability of the home time in the display, shows in the stopwatch and timer mode as well. Stopwatch I got mine from Japan, but I am on the fence about buying the new 5000U now they’re available here in the EU as well. months on rechargeable battery (operation period when stored in total darkness with the power save function on after full charge) Countdown start time setting range: 1 second to 24 hours (1-second increments, 1-minute increments and 1-hour increments)For fans of precision: the countdown timers help you to remember specific or recurring events by giving off an audible signal at a preset time. The time can be set to the nearest minute and up to 24 hours in advance. Ideal for people who need to take medicines every day or those who do interval training. Some specifications (price, material, weight, Neobrite, etc.) for individual models may vary within a series. Some models listed may not be available in all countries. This is additional way for time sync. This watch receives time calibration radio signals that keep the displayed time accurate. It’s an easy conclusion that the new 3495 module is quite a step up from its ancestor, the 3159. For Europeans, the possibility to show the date in DD/MM format will be most welcome, plus the one that’s – in regular time-keeping mode –permanently visible. But for others, the feature to show the watch’s home time in the world time and other modes might be the most important update. MULTIBAND6 reception of six-time calibration signals: Japan (2), United States, Germany, England, China

I actually love this case. I love the vintage vibe and shape it has. And surprisingly enough, it pairs with many outfits and styles without drawing too much attention. I really didn’t expect a square case to work that well from a style and fashion point of view. In the Alarm Mode, press (D) to scroll through the alarm screens until the one whose time you want to set is displayed. We think it is very important (before buying a new watch) to know if there will be some choice as for replacement bands for GW-M5610 (in future or even now). So we made a research and you shouldn’t worry about your future as the bands are available for buying.

Is it unique?– in the sense that it has its own vibe going on, or has a very distinctive feature or design element.
