Now as for what i'm reading i'm using Jason Mayfield's tear up your bible 2.0 reading plan and working through that this year. I'm not fixed to reading plans and I may go off it later on. My favorite feature is its A5 Journal format. Because it’s thin and portable, I love using it during out-of-town trips wherein I usually read and journal observations, reflections, prayers, praises, and doodles before bedtime. Journaling– Note lines are lightly lined and extra-wide for your journaling comfort. You will have enough space to record your favorite personal insights along with promises and prayers that come alive as you are inspired by the word. There are obviously differences between each of these Bibles, and scholars will debate the merits of the study notes, but overall I think these are your best bet. The Final Word: Obedience Matters Most

Church Notes makes it easier for Christians to celebrate the Gospel every day by having a convenient, easy, and all-in-one app for sermon and devotional note-taking. Obsidian has versions on windows and mac as well as even linux. There are currently no mobile application version (although apparently one is on the way). Mobile digital notes Now let’s dive into the nitty gritty of choosing a good study Bible for you. Which Is The Best Study Bible Translation? Sometimes it takes a spark to ignite a fire of imagination, and the images in this NIV Journaling Bible are just that spark. Created by artists Hannah Dunnett, the bright and exciting images in this Bible invite you to push out in Bible-inspired creativity. A new edition is available now. First, let me say that both interpretive and application study Bibles are wonderful resources, and calling one type the “best study Bible” probably isn’t the most helpful way to think about the subject. If Shannon’s article has inspired you to start note taking in your Bible, let us know! And if you have your own experiences or tips to pass along, please share with us in the comments! Adherents of “dynamic equivalence” (and the more recent label “functional equivalence”) do not necessarily feel obliged to translate the actual words of the original. Instead, these translators often engage in commentary on the biblical text instead of translation of it. This is done by bypassing the words of the original and offering an interpretation of its “content meaning” as distinct from its “lexical meaning.” Using a variety of colored pens, consider developing a system for different types of notes. Here is an example: Purple: Character of the Trinity. Content – This Bible features both the OLD and New Testaments in the King James Version which is a very popular version for a number of Christian Denominations. Included throughout the Bible are not only the words of God as typically found in a Bible but there are also a number of artwork and line art illustrations. When choosing, I would recommend using this formula (that sounds too precise, but you know what I mean):

If you are in a hurry and just want to find out what the best ESV Journaling Bible is, then I’d recommend the ESV Interleaved Edition Journaling Bible as the best one. A: English translations of the Bible generally fall into one of two camps: literal translations, which strive to be as faithful as possible to the original Greek or Hebrew text, and dynamic equivalent Bibles, which aim to preserve the original meaning within a more modern means of expression. While the latter can be easier to read and understand, the changes in wording and sentence structure can sometimes hide the sacred author’s intent. The RSV-2CE is widely regarded as both accurate and highly readable, and therefore is an excellent choice for studying the Bible. In learning how to read the Bible consistently, journaling is an essential habit. You can reflect upon the scripture intimately. Like a diary, you write what God tells you. It has a big space for writing observations, praises, and journal entries. Usually, these Bibles have loads of study notes underneath the text, plus maps, diagrams, cross-references, and dozens of other helpful tools. The other aspect is the margins. In this version, you have lines down the sides. Again this actually has not been exactly the right thing for me. The lines are a bit too restrictive in what you can put in the margins. So I'm going to go and find a wide margin bible in one of those translations.Halfway between a Bible and an Adult Colouring Book, this is a journaling Bible for anyone who wants to relax into God’s word. With intricate line images to fill in, as well as wide margins for notes and drawings, this is the ideal gift for anyone with an artistic eye. There is also a new range of Inspire Bibles that celebrate the inspiration of the Psalms and come in a luscious purple binding. If you were just getting started in a bible note-taking system or reading the bible for the first time don't worry if you don't have a system like this. My system has taken me a while to develop. And even still, there are aspects which aren't quite right which I want to adjust in the future. Dayspring Illustrating Bible: This spiral-bound Bible is designed with 3.5” margins for the Bible journaler.

It's much more easy to copy paste some text from a file when it's already stored digitally. Leaving Notion for Obsidian Bottom line: If you want the best study Bible, I recommend getting an essentially literal translation. It is perfect for Bible journaling because it is beautiful and simply the best translation combining accuracy. The ESV achieves to be understood by everyone, from adults to kids, and even from this multicultural world to all our future ministry. Personally, I believe this is an inferior and unhelpful method of translation because it has the potential to introduce interpretationinto the translation. Just because our eyesight may not be what it ‘used to be’ and we may have some visual impairment, doesn’t mean we cannot enjoy journaling as much as anyone else! Yes, we may have to make some adjustments and that is ok!

The Thrive Journaling Bible for Women is designed for the woman who wants a closer walk with God and wants to know him more deeply. God wants each of his children to live a fulfilling and joy-filled flourishing life and this is best achieved with Christ in the center. Christ can only be in the center with daily communication and feeding on his word. You can also use a magnifying lens instead! These allow you to read the text in a way that causes less strain, however it might be difficult to use while journaling! In those cases, readers are definitely the way to go! 4.
